Our Adjudicator 2023 Anna Walker A.D.A.

 

A member of ADA since 2008, Anna has relished the opportunity to adjudicate at numerous festivals throughout of Ireland. She is proud to have had the opportunity of adjudicating The One Act Drama Finals in Ennis in 2011, The Confined Drama Finals in Castleblayney in 2016, The All Ireland Drama Finals in Athlone in 2018 and The One Act Drama Finals in Rossmore in 2019.

Anna has an M.A. in Drama and Theatre Studies from U.C.D., and a diploma of Associate and Licentiate from the Royal Irish Academy. Her working life embraces a wide range of Drama disciplines and activities. She was Senior Drama Examiner with the Royal Irish Academy, tutors Drama students, adjudicates Festivals and Feiseanna, and has directed for a number of Acting Companies. She is also Secretary of ADA.

Her love for Drama was recognised by her parents, who sent her to drama classes. By joining The Olivian Players, the magical world of Amateur Drama was revealed, where she won a host of Best Acting Awards. The professional stage beckoned, and she relished the opportunity to work on stage, screen and television. Her favourite roles include, Hedda in Hedda Gabler, Woman, in To, and Dr. Martha Livingstone in Agnes of God.

Adjudicating is a privilege. We witness the creativity, energy, hard work, and fearlessness of the many Amateur Groups who perform throughout the Country.
